What the site keeps about you
As little as possible. The site remembers what your character looks like in the game, and shows you what it is doing while you watch.
What Twitch sends us
When you sign in, Twitch gives us your account ID (a number) and your display name. Nothing else: no email, no list of subscriptions, no right to act on your account or to write in the chat. The technical authorization Twitch hands us at that moment is revoked right away and never stored.
What the site saves
- your Twitch ID, to find your character even if you change your username;
- your choices: class, hat, hair, name color. They are numbers in lists, never free text;
- the date of your first save and of your last change.
Your display name is not saved: the site only uses it to greet you while you are signed in. Until you click “Save”, nothing at all is saved.
The only cookie
A sign-in cookie, which holds your ID and display name. It expires 24 hours after you sign in or last open your live dashboard, and never later than 7 days after you signed in. No ads, no audience measurement, no third-party service loaded in the pages.
The live dashboard
When you open your dashboard, your browser connects to a relay that passes on your character’s state as the game sends it: class, level, HP, cooldowns, last command received. The relay knows you by your Twitch ID, sends your state to you alone, and keeps nothing. If you tick “Keep screen on”, that choice stays in your browser: it is never sent to the site.
Feedback
If you answer the feedback questions, the site keeps your answers, the date, and whether you played or only watched. Nothing else: no name, no IP address. Your Twitch ID is kept with them only if you are signed in and leave “Send it with my Twitch account” ticked; then “Delete my data” erases them too. Otherwise nothing links them to you, and they can’t be deleted on request. Your answers are never shown on the site or on stream. They are kept until we have finished analysing the beta, then deleted.
Who reads this data
The game, to draw your character when you type !spawn. The feedback answers are read by the people making the game. Nobody else: nothing is sold, shared or published.
Deleting
On your character page, “Delete my data” erases everything, right away. So that the game can erase its own copy too, the site keeps one line for 7 days (your ID and the date of the deletion), then it’s gone. You can also remove the site’s access from Twitch: Settings, Connections, Other Connections.
